I spent several years in Chicago working for Six Degrees Records, a world music label based out of San Francisco that has quite an extensive catalog of Brazilian artists. A couple years ago they sent me a case of Ceu's debut album with instructions to pass them along to my Chicago DJ family... It was one of the best assignments they ever gave me, because Ceu has a gorgeous voice and her records are sublime and beautifully constructed pieces where she's backed by a tasteful band. Have a listen to an up and coming chanteuse from Sao Paulo, who helped put Studio SP on the map... I look forward to following what I hope is Ceu's long and fruitful music career...
